Each kit includes enough Malabrigo and Universal Yarn in the appropriate colors to complete the kit. Colors include Malabrigo Ivy and Blue Surf and Universal Pulp and Butter. The yarn used in this beanie is worsted weight and 100% wool. Kit includes yarn only - please purchase Knitting the National Parks by Nancy Bates or the individual pattern. Hat.

Needles: US Size 5 / 3.75 mm 16 inch long circular knitting needles.
              US Size 7 / 4.5 mm 16 inch long circular knitting needles.
              US Size 7 / 4.5 mm double pointed needles (DPNs)
              (or sizes needed to obtain gauge)

Notions: Three stitch markers (Two of one color and one of another color)
             Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
             Cable Needle

Gauge:   With larger needles, approx. 9 1/2 stitches = 2 in. in stockinette stitch, blocked.
