Forests of the North Beanie KIT from Knitting California by Nancy Bates - this beautiful single color beanie incorporates cables to create a forest of trees. Yarn is from Aly Bee and is hand dyed. 

Forests cover the slopes of mountains everywhere. With just a single color, this design uses a series of cable stitches and decreases to create an forest of pine trees around your hat.  For a seasonal touch, try adding snow or even Christmas decorations to your trees using duplicate stitches, French knots, beads, or buttons.
