It's here! A little bit of snow and Local Yarn Shop Day!

Yes! We have received a bit of snow. Check out the antler growth on the elk!

LOCAL YARN SHOP DAY IS THIS SATURDAY!

Help support your local yarn by shopping at Peak to Peak Stitching in store or online this Saturday, April 25! We have several new yarns that you will want to check out, starting with these beautiful new Road Trip Sock Yarns custom dyed for us by Ali Pate.

Ali’s yarns look wonderful when paired with a tonal to make Casapinka’s Colassal Fluff Up – see the pattern knit up below.

The pattern is free on Saturday ONLY from Casapinka when you purchase 2 skeins of any fingering weight yarn. This is a fun pattern that will showcase the yarn and the pattern’s varied stitchwork. Call the shop at 970-296-8385 if you need help picking out colors. Ali's new yarns also look spectacular when knitted into socks or crocheted in the Miss Elizabeth pattern by Christianna Frenette-Bowland!

Thank you to Malabrigo for enabling us to offer a free pattern with purchase of any skein from Malabrigo on Local Yarn Shop Day, while supplies last. A shipment arrived yesterday from Malabrigo, so we have a bunch of weights and colors to choose from!

Fisherpeople! Check out our fish! In addition to the Wishing Fish throw, we have kitted Hooked on Fishing – a kit for a  table runner and 2 placemats that showcases our custom Art of Fishing line of fabric. (There are also kits for 2 placemats only in case you want to make extra placemats.) Two colorways are available for the table runner and placemats – cream and blue. Do not let the curves scare you away from this pattern. Grand Junction designer Kris Holderness has excellent instructions on how to manage the curves. If you still are not sure, enough fabric has been included so you can use rectangles instead. This pattern allows you to be creative!

Tomorrow, Friday, is your very last chance to sign up for a class this Saturday on making a rope basket. There are still a couple of openings. This has been a very popular class.

Speaking of Grand Junction, we will be there at the Mesas to Monuments Quilt Show on May 1st and 2nd! If you are in the Grand Junction area, stop by the Two Rivers Convention Center and say hi!

Be sure to check our class listing below – there are some new ones! David Taylor will be back in August!!!!
