It is the first day of 2026. I have been thinking about all that we have planned for 2026. Stay tuned! It has been nice to have a couple of days off these past couple of weeks. I’ve actually had a chance to do some sewing!! We have had several customers in the shop talking about the projects they are working on and finishing up. The oldest project I heard about was from the mid-1980’s!
(A friend of mine took the picture below. Not a lot of snow, sadly.)

Helping us celebrate this winter that feels like an extended fall is planning for David Taylor’s one-day workshop Saturday February 28th on machine applique. Come learn the technique from a master while making a snowman block. (At least the block will have snow!!!) The class includes all materials. Anyone who has taken a class with David knows what a fun instructor he is!
The NoCo Shop Hop 2025 quilt, Stars Over Colorado, is now available as a kit and as a pattern. This is a gorgeous quilt that goes from the plains to the mountaintops.
We have some new grab-and-go embroidery kits in – these kits contain everything you need for a small project (except for scissors, but we can help with that) and are perfect for those of you traveling to, well, grab-and-sew!
Charley Harper !!! We have some new fabrics in with more coming in a couple of months. All Charley Harper lovers, check these out!!!!
We have three fabrics in from the Woodland Heart collection that are perfect for a baby quilt (a flannel backing would make the quilt extra cozy). Any 3-yard quilt pattern would work great with these fabrics.
For the “Got It Done” clubbers, get your December finished projects in. We will draw for the gift certificate in about a week. For "Got It Done 2026", get started now on finishing a project each month. All you have to do is send a picture of your finished project to info@peaktopeakstitching.com You need to complete one project per month (not start and finish, just finish – clean up those UFOs!!!!) for all 12 months of the year in order to be eligible for the gift certificate drawing. If you need space or a bit of quiet to work on your project, we have Sit and Stitch every Thursday from 10:30 to 5 in our classroom. This is for quilters, sewists, knitters, and/or crocheters of all kinds! Drop in for an hour or for the day. We have Janome machines for rent if you don't want to bring your own.
Happy New Year!!!!
