Last time I wrote the newsletter, we had no snow. We have now had several small bouts of snow but the wind has come with it – as in 80-100 mph gusts. The snow is all blowing away or sublimating! The mountains have been shrouded in snow or clouds of windblown snow so we haven’t seen how much is up there in a while now. Snow. Good! I also had to share what an "Elk Jam" looks like. The picture is taken from our shop looking at the main intersection as you come into town.

It’s a great time to be quilting, knitting, or crocheting warm things. It’s also "last-minute" time. I know I have a bunch of projects half done that need to get finished and out the door! If you need uninterrupted time or space to get things done, join us for Open Sew and Stitch Thursdays, starting this week. From 10:30 – 5:00, set up a workspace in our classroom and find some peace while getting projects done. If you would like to come on another day, check with us and if we don’t have a class going, you can come.
We have had friends and partners picking up gift certificates both in person and on-line. We have received phone calls asking for gifting help and we love to help. We will also wrap your gifts in blue paper with a bit of ribbon or if you buy a yard of fabric, we can wrap your gift in that! Online shoppers – please add a note to your order if you would like wrapping.
Quilters, we have 2 new quilts out. Mountain Critters is up in the store. It showcases our exclusive small mountain critters batik that includes chipmunks, squirrels, and rabbits. Mountains Framed features Moda’s Wanderlust mountains in a quick to make pattern.
We have a wall quilt kitted and ready to go - (Rein) Deer Xing – this pattern features 5 deer and 4 trees and can be hung year ‘round (or you can give the middle deer a red nose for the holidays).
Crocheters, we have the National Parks Crochet Kits back in stock. These kits are very cute – just check out the picture! The kit has yarn to crochet the bear, the buffalo, the backpack and ranger’s hat. The pattern booklet includes additional instructions for an eagle, fire, tent, tree, wolf, and moose!
Remember to enjoy the holidays and if you need a moment’s peace, come see us in the store or scroll through products online!
