Which is more weird in November….the mountains without snow, a dandelion growing, or seeing beautiful northern lights all across the sky? Seriously, a dandelion? In this busy time of year, find the little things that will cause you to smile. The birds have flown south, the insects are gone wherever they go, it is a low season for tourists, the “snowbirds” have left our community, it is quiet out when I walk. I can hear the soft differences in sounds as the wind moves through the pines or dried grasses, or roars over the mountain top above me. These are the things fill me with gratitude.
As promised in my last newsletter, we did get the Sunlit Bear kit together. This is such a vibrant set of fabrics that it makes me smile whenever I see it. Also, the Night Owls panel came together in an earthy toned quilt for your favorite owl lover.
We are starting to kit several of the Knitting the USA kits. Check out New Hampshire or preorder Montana, New Mexico (think balloon festival), Utah, and Wyoming (think fossils). The pictures below are knit as kitted (except New Hamnphire - it's in the works!).
