Fall is a beautiful time of year wherever you are. I have talked a lot about lighting, but fall has the standout lighting for me – it seems to soften the edges of objects and makes everything glow. This is also the time you get dark snowy storm clouds emphasized by sunshine that creates a sharp contrast with the mountains. Even the air seems to be full of color when under a tree with leaves falling. The snow and winds have brought down a lot of the leaves. While temperatures are dropping below freezing at night, the days still warm up. We have had first snow here in town and the mountains are regularly getting dustings. Enjoy these lingering days of golden light!
Nancy Bate’s Knitting the USA book is now in our store!!!! This book was created to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our 50 states. We love our Nancy Bates patterns and are working to decide which State patterns to kit. While we already have Colorado, Texas, Washington, Nebraska, and Kansas kitted and available online, we are deciding on what to kit next. If you think we should kit your state, let us know at info@peaktopeakstitching.com and we will take it under consideration!
Starting November 1st, kits containing the 16 blocks of Stars Over Colorado will be available. This quilt was the 2025 Northern Colorado Shop Hop quilt this year and it is spectacular. We have our kits on pre-order and only have 5 left now. If you did not get to the Shop Hop last June or you love the quilt, get it while you can!
