Lots going on!
We are back home from Boise. It was a beautiful drive with a lot of mountains! The weather was sunny and warm (90 in May?!).
The hummingbirds are trickling back in at last! Each morning when I walk my dogs and I hear more and more buzzing. We are also getting snow, sleet, or rain every couple of days so the mountains actually have a good amount of snow on them and everything is very green. Ever wonder how many shades of green there are?

It is revealed at last! The Northern Colorado 2025 Shop Hop quilt, Stars Over Colorado! The quilt features stars with a colorful background of mountains, foothills, a lake, and the plains. There are 13 stores in this year’s Shop Hop – each store has a unique block and the easternmost shops in Fort Morgan, Julesburg, and Holyoke will each have 2 blocks for the price of one to make a total of 16 blocks to create this special quilt. Wolf lovers! The Wild at Heart Wolf collection is IN and is going fast. This wonderful collection features a family of wolves. While the panel is certainly an eye catcher, the blenders are great as well – if you have a wolf lover in your family, think of the Wild at Heart tossed wolves blender for a pillowcase.
There is a new class posted – Passport to the Mountains is an all day class on Saturday, August 30. It features a variation on Charisma Horton’s Summer Mountains pattern. The quilt is made with half square and quarter square triangles in fun mountain colors. You will piece a quilt top and with the leftover pieces, be able to make a mirror image of the first.
We have an awesome new book in – Quilting the National Parks by Stephanie Forster. We have kits available for the Rocky Mountain National Park wall hanging using Colorworks fabrics and will have a pieced top and kits available for the Rocky Mountain National Park wall hanging at the Castle Rock show.
