The Seasons are Changing

Our mountain weather continues generally warm. There have been many days in the last couple of weeks where our weather has been much better than the downvalley communities! The seasons are changing and we are moving into our snowy season if history repeats…and we sure could use the moisture. Two days ago it was sunny and this morning the fog was rolling in and around the trees. The weather is changeable!

What are we all about? Mountain flora and fauna of course! Our first set of custom fabrics came in this week! The Northcott team worked their magic to make our Small Mountain Mammals fabric. Check out my favorite mountain animal, the pika, along with marmots, chipmunks, and rabbits. This fabric will coordinate with our Large Mountain Mammal fabric.

For Rocky Mountain National Park lovers, custom fabrics came in with Peaks of Rocky Mountain National Park and Trailheads of Rocky Mountain National Park. See how many of the peaks you have summited and how many of the trailheads you have hiked from!

The Charmwood Collection has sweet fabrics of fox and squirrels with coordinating blenders. These fabrics would make great baby quilts! The blenders include fabrics with dragonflies, acorns, leaves, and flowers that will fit into a variety of projects.

From Hoffman, two new panels from their Call of the Wild collection are now in stock: Earth Moose and Eagle Americana. These panels would make great quilts for boys or veterans!

Last but not least (it was a busy week!), we received autographed copies of Scott Flanagan of 4th & Main Design’s book, Fat Quarter Quilts. These quilts are perfect for fat quarters as well as for using up scraps. Scott Flanagan patterns are easy to follow and suitable for confident beginners.

Come on up to Estes Park while the weather holds or find us online.
