Blue Skies
We have been having daytime highs in the 40s and lots of beautiful blue skies. It is snowing like crazy on the western side of the Rockies, but here on the eastern side, we have sunshine but we definitely need snow. Having said that, it is supposed to snow tomorrow night. Here’s hoping!!!!
At LONGGGG last, we have the Charlie Harper Rocky Mountain National Park panels back in stock! We also have our Charley Harper Rocky Mountain Kits back in stock too. Anyone who visits the mountain high country will recognize these animals and birds as only Charley Harper can draw them. All of you who have been waiting so patiently, thank you!
Make sure to take a look at the other recent Charlie Harper additions to our product line including the Sierra Range and Softies panel! The softies are super easy to make and VERY cute.
Finally for all you animal lovers out there is Shannon Fabric’s Cuddle Prism Paws. This is a neat pattern and, of course, demands being touched.
We are excited to announce a David Taylor Pictorial Applique Workshop September 14 to 19. Space is limited for this retreat. If you have not attended a retreat by David Taylor, you will be in for an experience with lots of laughter and learning. Now for news on some of our 2025 events. Our Birthday Bash is coming on February 8th. We are turning 2! See details below. Also in February, we will begin participating in the FabShop Shop Hop. This is a virtual Shop Hop that stretches across the country – you will have to find the “hopper” each month for a chance to win! Details in next week’s newsletter. Later in the summer we will be participating in the 2025 Row by Row – the Great Outdoors. Details to follow when it gets closer – I gotta tell ya Northcott’s Great Outdoors Collection is gorgeous. We will also be attending several shows this year including the Quilt, Craft & Sewing Festival in Boise, Idaho in May, the Quilting Show in Castlerock, Colorado in June, and the Garden of Quilts in Salt Lake City, Utah in September. We are working hard (no guarantees yet) to get Scott Flanagan in for a quilt retreat in early summer and Nancy Bates back by popular demand for a retreat highlighting her new States beanies collection.
Fingers crossed for snow or rain especially in California, stay warm during the deep freeze across the nation, and use winter to get some quilting, knitting, and crocheting done!

SkiJor - January 25 – 26, 11AM – 3PM. SkiJor is the meeting of western horsemanship and skiing (or think of water skiing with a horse instead of a boat). Come to our booth inside the Estes Park Event Center and pick up a $5 coupon good for use in the store!

Passport to Piecing Class – March 1 and 8, 2025 – ONLY 3 SPOTS LEFT! This is a two-session class designed to be an introduction to basic quilting techniques. In the first session the instructor will demonstrate pressing, cutting, and block piecing techniques to enable the student to finish two placemat tops. Quilting terms, tips, and tricks will be discussed throughout the sessions. In session two, students will learn how to make a quilt sandwich, machine quilt, and sew binding to finish the placemat tops which were constructed in the first session.
Learn to Crochet Class – January 16 and 23, 2025 - Have you always wanted to learn how to crochet? Join us for a two-session class to learn basic crochet stitches.
