The quiet is coming to an end

The quiet season in town will soon be coming to an end as we approach Memorial Day weekend. It certainly has come to an end outside of town. Each day on my walk, I hear more and more birds chirping AND I have seen one lone hummingbird around the house over the last couple of days. (Not today, though. The 60+ mph winds and driving snow bits might have something to do with that!) The small springs and creeks are full of snow melt, making a happy sound as the water tumbles over the rocks. Take a walk outside and listen!

Our May 20% off sale items are (1) all Palette solids fabrics; and (2) all things Quilted Legends – this includes the Quilted Legends of the West book, patterns, and kits.

Thank you to all who have dropped off or sent in orphan blocks. We are continuing to gather blocks for our charity quilts so if you have any lying around, get them to us! Or join us for Wednesday Sit and Stitch (10:30 – 4) and help figure out the best way to combine them!

Knitters, want to learn how to carry yarn (also known as stranded knitting)? The Midwinter block series of classes is for you. In just one quick class, you can learn this skill. Take more classes and you will have a beautiful Afghan ready to go for winter (I can say winter because with the snow swirling outside and the wind blowing, it sure does feel like winter here!).

The Northern Colorado Shop Hop 2024 is just weeks away from starting on June 6. Check out the website to see all of the participating shops and to plot how you will get to them all. If you get stamps from all 16 shops, you will be entered to win some pretty fabulous prizes, including a Baby Lock machine. We have our special project ready to go and hope to see you at our Sew Charming event! We will be open every day from 10 – 5 during the event (including Sunday, 6/9 and Monday, 6/10).
