What a difference a day makes!
As I write this, there are 39” of snow outside….and we are supposed to get another 10” tonight. I know I said we needed snow, but wow – this is a lot! It has been a few years since we have had this much all at once. Even Denver has been hit hard!
The first picture is yesterday about midday. The second is this morning when there were “only” 30” of snow. Next newsletter, I will include a picture post-storm.
While everything is white outside, we are excited about some new batik fabrics that have come in. The first picture are fabrics from the Breezy Collection by Island Batik. You know why it is called Breezy? Because the patterns are leaves blowing in a breeze. (There are some good aspen leaves fabrics in the set.) The second picture is Elementals from Riley Blake. We really like the color intensity and detail of all these fabrics.
Riley Blake has come out with a new “postcard” style National Parks fabric. I have sized up this picture a bit so you can search and see how many National Parks you can find. This fabric makes a fun backing or a wide border. It will keep people looking at your quilt!
