What's been happening at Peak to Peak Stitching?
What happens when a busy summer turns into a beautiful (and busy) fall? The newsletter doesn’t go out. Sorry! Remember to follow us on Facebook or Instagram at @peak_to_peak_stitching for the most up to date happenings in the store (Anne is much better about posting than I am about writing, that’s for sure).
It has been a gorgeous fall with the trees turning gold, snow dusting the mountain tops, and the elk walking down Elkhorn Avenue bugling. As the days shorten, the weather is starting to cool. When you read this, we might just be having our first bit of snow here in Estes.
In addition to having our “Welcome to Estes” panel now available in a light canvas bag panel, we have four new colorful quilt patterns and kits that came out this last month that are confident beginner friendly. The first is called Elk All Around (it is the season after all!), the second is Columbine Breeze and has hummingbirds and columbines all over it. The third is our latest from Quilted Legends of the West – the Ram of the Setting Sun. The fourth is our RMNP Wildflowers throw made with our custom batiks that showcase the wildflowers of Rocky Mountain National Park.
Several new fabric lines have come in including Earthscapes by QT Fabric, Eden by Figo (wonderful butterflies), Hexies by Banyan Batiks (vibrant strong colors), and the Let It Snow collection by Island Batiks – one of several holiday themed lines in the store to get you in the holiday mood.
Knitters, three new beanies have been kitted from Nancy Bates’ Knitting the National Park book: Glacier NP, Saguaro NP, and the Grand Canyon NP (Nancy Bates considers the Grand Canyon beanie the easiest in the book).
Last but not least, CLASSES!!!! Check out our Classes on the website to see the latest. If you have a suggestion for a class, drop us an email at info@peaktopeakstitching.com
Don’t forget the last day to sign up for Jackie Vuycich’s Columbine class is October 21!
Coming up for the holidays we have several different classes featuring quick and easy projects that would make great gifts. Also, on December 9th, we will be hosting a 1-day mini retreat where you can learn how to make a fabric basket and formal dinner napkins. Come join us for a fun day. Knitters, we are closing in on the final details for the Nancy Bates hosted retreat April 19-20 – look for details in the next couple of weeks.
Take care everyone! Happy Fall!
