Wool Market, Knitting the National Parks and Traveling Tools

There is no doubt – it’s spring at last in Estes! The trees are leafing out, flowers are starting to come up, and baby elk calves and deer fawns are being born. (Of course, snow is not out of our lives yet – the mountains had a fresh dusting this morning.)

Wool Market is next week, June 10-11, with classes June 8-9. Follow the link for more details. We will have a booth – stop by and say hi and pick up some great custom dyed yarn by Herd of Cats and kits for shawls, beanies, and headbands.

To kick off Wool Market, stop by our shop on Thursday, June 8 from 3PM to 5 PM to meet and greet Nancy Bates, author of Knitting the National Parks.  Nancy created a unique beanie reflecting the character of each national park and she will be onsite to share her thoughts and answer questions. Her book will be available for purchase – she will be glad to autograph it for you! Also available will be beanie kits of the national parks in Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming as well as Nancy’s special stitch markers and leather identifying tags.

Whether you are traveling to Estes Park, from Estes Park, or heading out to explore the national parks or anywhere else, check out some of our helpful travel tools: folding ruler, adjustable ruler, bobbin boat, mini snips, magnetic pin caddy with cover, small foldable tool box, and more in our notions section. These can make your travel easier. See our Facebook Live this morning to see these items and more. See our Facebook Live this morning to see these items and Debi’s video on the Modern Log Cabin Trout block. Enjoy!!!
