Grand Opening & Quilting and Knitting Classes
Happy winter! Yes, I know some of you live in places where spring is beginning, but not so fast in Estes Park. We are heading into the snowiest part of our winter. What a perfect time to settle in and quilt or knit!
Our Grand Opening was a wonderful success. Thank you to the many people who were able to join us for the ribbon cutting. A huge thanks to my staff who worked some long hours to ensure the store was in top shape for the opening. There is a lot of behind the scenes work that goes on to getting a store ready to formally open – from inventory management to cutting and packaging kits to stocking the shelves to decorating to advertising to …. the list is endless. The staff at Peak to Peak Stitching is passionate about what we do and it shows!
Love a mystery? Join us online for our Mystery Quilt March 4th and 5th. The event will be both afternoons and by the end, you will have a throw size pieced top from one of our exclusive patterns designed by Judy Zehner. If interested, click here to go to our website and sign up.
We have a lot of classes coming up. Paula Koerner will be teaching three knitting classes (Building Blocks, Building in Color, and Building with Lace) based on the Michelle Hunter books by the same name beginning in May. These classes require basic knitting skills.
What do you do if all you know about knitting is yarn and needles and then somehow magic happens? Join Jean Gilles to learn how to knit in her class Learn to Knit. NO prior experience required! (If you are comfortable knitting the basics after this class, you can join Paula Koerner’s class, Building Blocks.)
Susan Sears will be teaching a Beginning Piecing class starting in April. This class too requires NO prior experience in anything quilting.
We want anyone with an interest in knitting or quilting to be able to get a good start!
We have new products coming in almost daily! Keep an eye on our website, Facebook page, or Instagram to see what’s happening. We met this morning with Karen Gibbs of Banyan Batiks and were able to see our new custom fabrics that are coming in. More on them next week, but here is a sample...
Stay warm! Catherine
