Hello from the rocky mountain home of Peak to Peak Stitching! We are open now every Tuesday – Saturday, 10AM – 5PM.
Thank you to all who have visited our store in the past week for your patience as we train staff and figure out how to work our new systems. Our Grand Opening is planned for Friday, February 10th.
We are limited in the signage we are allowed to put up, so finding us can be a bit of a challenge. Look for the US Bank signs. The address is 363 E. Elkhorn Ave., second floor of the US Bank building. We are between the library/town hall and the Estes Egg. We have parking and an elevator!
This past week, we received lots of yarn. We are carrying yarn custom dyed for Peak to Peak Stitching from a local dyer, Herd of Cats, and several of the National Park series yarns from another local dyer, Explorer Knits + Fibers. We have a colorful selection of yarns from Rylie and Universal in a variety of weights. Paula Koerner of Chicks With Sticks Knit will be teaching classes beginning in April – stay tuned for an announcement of dates and a description of classes!
We have wonderful book called Knitting the National Parks which is a collection of hat patterns that recognize each national park. We are creating individual kits for Rocky Mountain NP, Great Sand Dunes NP, Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP, Mesa Verde NP, and Petrified Forest NP. These will be available shortly.
On the fabric side, new kits are coming out weekly. Keep an eye out for Quilted Legends of the West’s Bear coming this week!
