2025 - 10/18 Sew a Fabric Rope Basket

Date:                             Saturday, October 18, 2025 (Last date to register October 11, 2025)

Time:                            Set-up starting at 12:30 p.m. Class will start at 1:00 p.m. and end at 5:00 p.m. 

Class Description:    Learn how to make a fabric rope basket.  At the end of the class you should have a completed medium size (~10”) rope basket in the fabrics of your choice.

Cost:                             $60 (includes the rope and fabric center)

Class Size:                  min 4, max 10

Class Location:         Peak to Peak Stitching, 363 E. Elkhorn Ave., Estes Park, CO 

Prerequisite skills:  Advanced beginner – must be able to sew a straight line and a zig-zag stitch. 

Required Materials: (Available at Peak to Peak Stitching, 10% discount for class materials)

•     Working sewing machine – Peak to Peak Stitching staff cannot help with your machine – be sure you know how to use your machine! 
•     Needles – 80/12 and 90/14
•     Thread – 40 wt (be sure to bring pre-loaded bobbins) – thread should complement the fabrics you choose for the basket and for the napkins. 
•     Fabric glue – recommend Liquid Stitch by Dritz
•     Fabric - you will need 3/4 yds total of fabric cut into 16 or more 1-1/4” strips – use a single color or mix and match. 
•     Basic sewing tools – pins, scissors, seam ripper, etc. Bring your favorite tools.

Notes:

• Rope and a choice of center fabric circles will be provided.  Feel free to cut your own fabric circle.
• Set up time begins at 12:30 p.m. – be sure you and your machine are ready to go at 1:00 p.m.

Cancellation policy:  Cancellations made two weeks before the course starts will be refunded if the cancellation does not drop the number of attendees below the minimum; a $25 cancellation fee will be applied. If your cancellation drops the number of attendees below the minimum number of attendees or if your cancellation is made less than two weeks before the course starts, no refund will be available unless we are able to re-sell your spot. If we can re-sell your spot, we will refund your registration fee less a $25 cancellation fee.
