Hi, I'm Catherine, the owner. This time last year, Peak to Peak Stitching wasn't even an idea. I love quilting and wanted to share that love and experience with others and so Peak to Peak Stitching was born. My yarn friends convinced me that knitting/crocheting go hand in hand with quilting and so the store carries fabric AND yarn!
I built on my own experiences traveling and trying to convince my family we really did need to stop at one more local quilt shop. They have all been good sports (actually, my eldest son was the one who got me started in quilting and is trying to convince me to learn to crochet :>). What I found was that many quilt shops don't have products that reflect the special nature of their locale. I would visit a store and want to take home a neat pattern or fabric that would help me remember my visit to an area and most of the time, I couldn't find anything like that. That was the genesis of my vision for Peak to Peak Stitching - a store that will provide quilting, knitting, and cross-stitching products that reflect the beautiful environment of the Estes Valley and Rocky Mountain National Park. I also wanted to have products - aka kits - that a customer could come in, quickly pick out (mindful of that family member waiting in the car!), and leave with something that could create an easy to sew or knit memory of a great travel location. Ever mindful of our locals, we carry a bunch of different blender lines and basic notions. Our patterns are curated for the beginner to intermediate sewist or knitter. We also will help you pick out a pattern and the perfect materials or fiber to go with it. The staff are experienced, creative, and passionate about what they do.
Peak to Peak Stitching is not an "all purpose" store or a general-we-have-everything store. It is a place that I hope will bring a smile to your face and encourage you through our products and classes to stitch a mountain memory.
